Trucking Conditions Remain the same

The latest survey from Randall-Reilly MarketPulse shows that trucking conditions did not change from March to April, as reported by the Commercial Carrier Journal.  48% of executives from the trucking companies surveyed reported that conditions remained the same, while 32% said business was better.  Companies are optimistic, as 55% of those surveyed reported that they expected conditions to improve over the next 6 months.

The survey also provide interesting insight as to why some companies do not operate in California.  Of the companies that do not operate in California, 57% of those surveyed stated that the state's environmental regulation of heavy duty trucks was the reason that they do not operate in the state.
