American Association of Port Authorities wants congress to approve new WRDA bill

According to the Journal of Commerce, The AAPA wants a WDRA (Water Resources Development Act) bill that would require all harbor maintenance tax revenue to be spent on dredging, that would streamline the permitting process, and that would create a way to identify and advance needed projects in the absence of congressional rearmarks (the last WRDA that passed was in 2007). The Port Authority has spent close to $2.3 billion on their infrastructure since 2001.
