Trucking Term of the Day...LTL

LTL (Less then Truckload): A quantity of freight less than the full trailer load.  Historically this defines shipments between 100 and 10,000 pounds, although by today's standards, anything less than 30,000 pounds can be classified as LTL.

Cal Ocean Trucking will ship your next LTL load for a reasonable cost.  Recurring or one time only shipments are OK.  Contact dispatch@calocean.com for more information!

Trucking Industry adds Jobs in April

After losing 6,300 jobs in March, the U.S. trucking industry added 11,700 jobs in April, according to the Associated Press.  Trucking continues to show solid growth, with Labor Department statistics showing the addition of almost 150,000 jobs over the past three years.

The increase in jobs has helped to fuel stock gains.  Most trucking companies were up today in early trading.
