Winery Direct Shipments from Napa and Sonoma Increase

Shipments of wine to consumers from wineries in Napa increased 8% last year, according to the North Bay Busienss Journal.  Shipments from Sonoma County wineries increased 10.1%.  Winery to consumer shipment value is now more than that of wine exports.

The shipments from Napa and Sonoma Counties account for 69% of the nationwide winery to consumer shipments.  The value of these shipments was $714 million from Napa County, and $286 million from Sonoma County in 2012.

90% of all wine exported from the U.S. comes from California.
